they should send it to the mission where your application is being processed ... Didn´t you write your immigration file number and case processing centre on your fingerprints form? ... It takes anywhere from 2 months to twelve months depending on your country of origin and your photograph.

Nope. I just did the fingerprint and paid the money. That´s all. No photogragh required.

The guy works there told me the result can be sent to me directly.

The document/ paper/ card having the fingerprints should be mailed along with the CIC post´s police clearance form to RCMP´s Ottawa office. The CIC post´s police clearance form can be found at the end of the post´s guideline doc.

RCMP after processing the application sends it´s report to the CIC post where you´ve applied. The police clearance form bears the address of the CIC post apart from the personal information filled by you.

Hope ur on track now.

So strange! all i provided to the staff at the fingerprint place was my fingerprint, passport, driver´s license and fee. then he did it all for me including fill out the form and stuff.

he was as well so certain that the result will send to me directly.

totally he charged me $30 ($20 for fingerprint & $10 for sending the result back to me) + tax.

I did that in Scarborough (Toronto).

I did not apply yet as i have not met my min. 1-year work experience.

I just told him i need to obtain a RCMP for canada immigration and want to have the result delivered to me directly.

That´s all.

Other than telling me the waiting period will fall within 2-12 months, anyone can give me a better idea?

No problem. Applicants applying from within Canada to Bufallo do not need RCMP clearance unless asked to do so. Stop worrying about it. If you have further doubts why not pay a visit to them and clarify.

Well if the certificate is home delivered to you then no problem as you can submit it later with your application. BUT if they send it to CIC HK post then your application should´ve reached HK before or else it´ll be a waste and you´ll have to get it all again.

Find out with the police station where you got your F.prints that where is the certificate usually sent. It´s the most important question for you now. You can also contact RCMP ottawa to know about the staus.

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/crimrec/finger2_e.htm#Application

go to the bottom of the page to find their contact info.

Anyways, please do share whatever happens.

Good luck!
