Subject: Paperwork
Hello. I am married to a Canadian and I am a US Citizen. We moved here to Canada in September with pretty much nothing and I started my paperwork ( I had trouble getting the correct forms). Anyways, I am confused on how the back grounds check work. I lived in California before we married and afterwards we lived in Phoenix for 1 year and now we are here. So do I send the back-ground check request to both places or just one? Also is there anywhere I can go to ensure that the paperwork is filled out correctly or am I at the mercy of the government? Thanks alot. I have been stressing alot. So much in fact that I miscarried. Well blessing to yous.

I think you need to get one from one country that means you need one background check from USA and it is easy to get than getting it from any other country of the world because the system is good and clear. But check the Canadian immigration web site.

Thanks for the heads up. So I don´t need to send a back-ground check form to Arizona and one to California? I can just send it to one place and that will be okay? Also where on the site should I look? I´ve been there a thousand times and I can never find what I need. I come away even more confused.

I believe you have to get FBI fingerprints record so that you dont have to go and get it from individual places...
