Subject: French Knowledge?
I was wondering if someone could please help answer the following:

1) My French knowledge is basic ,very basic and I am taking a class. I know it takes a year after applying before one gets an interview call. I am registered for French classes. I need to claim points for French to meet the 67 points requirement. I need 2-4 points in French to make the 67 point requirement. Can I just mention on my application that I know Frenc. Since I am taking classes, by the time I get an interview call, I´ll have take the TEF test. They will only judge my French ability after they call me for an interview, correct? This will help me apply right away.

You are suppose to have all the points at the time of your application. But if you say you can speak moderate french and get the points now and take the exam later and send the results you should be fine.

I claimed I spoke french, too it in high school for 3 years, they did not question it. although i had the 67 points without the french. i checked my cpais and they gave me 69 points, they gave me 2 points for it.
