I wonder too, my # is B46....
There might be some logic in there.

I think....

Mine is B045 Feb 2004...still waiting...

I would like to believe that CIC processes files on a first come first served basis...however, this will not necessarily have a first in first out result...some B046 files could get their PP request before B045 depending on a lot of factors like...additional docs....background check etc....I still see B044 files in the list of waiting for interview but already saw B046 in the list of VISA issuance....

Where as obviously they allocate complete files on first in basis - it does not mean first in is first out as well.

Many are waiting on their BG checks to complete. That is the main reason many have been thrown off from their expected timelines. I was hoping to have already receive my visa - unfortunately it is the wait that I have.

My timeline:

App : Jan 2004
AOR: Feb 2004
Med: Oct 2004
Other Docs: Dec 2004
RPRF: Jan 2005
Got a fax in April mentioning it may take 6-9 weeks due to BG Check in process.

My ECLient has never changed.
