Question (in reply to: Provincial Nomination)
Hello Val ..

I have a question ... what are the requirements for the Provincial Nomination???

Do you have to have relatives in Canada? Do you have to have an employer already??

Thanks.

Hi Jowsie,

Yes I have a cousin in Manitoba, in a Federal Skilled Worker Application. A cousin is not included as points in the assessment...but in Provincial nominee they are.......

I dont have any ready employment yet in the province.......

I think having a relative in Manitoba gives you an extra points in it....but provincial nomination does not stop there.......as long as you have all the points to pass even if you dont have any relative there and also the Proof of funds............

Cheers,

Bravo2

Hi ros,

Thank you........

Just log in at www.cic.gc.ca then look for provincial nominee and they will transfer you to a site where all other province offer it......they have diff. requirements ex: alberta etc...

there is choice in applying for a provincial nominee.....economic class (skilled worker class) and family class (family sponsorship).

try checking www.immigratemanitoba.com it will help.......

by the way, are you a filipino? cause I am

Hi Val,
Congrats on your fast timeline. I´m Gie from Manila. I also applied for a PNP Manitoba, but we hire an immigration representative. We passed our applications last Apr 7, 2005, and received the acknowledgement letter last May 10, Sometime May 20, our Uncle was called in the immigration office in Canada to verify some documents(coz the name of my father in law in birth certificate was incorrect). Finally our Uncle talked to the officer and explain and present an affidavit telling that the name in the birth cert and my father in law is one. Until now I don´t have any updates what happen to our application. Do you think our application can also ba approved? Need your advise. thanks.

Hi Gie,

I also experienced the same situation before. My father´s name was different when I requested for his Birth Certificate. We are all shocked, but what I did was to come to a notary public to ask for an Affidavit of Discrepancy showing the details and explanation of the difference in name..... The PNP office in canada accepted it... I got my Nomination after 6 months....

Also if you want to get to know our kababayans who are also waiting for their applications to canada you can log in at www.pinoyimmigrants.com and also at http://lbautista.proboards31.com/ my name there is Bravo2..
most of them are federal skilled worker applicants but there will be alot of things you will learn from them.....

hope to see you there then just look for me......

Cheers,

Bravo2
