Ron,
My family and I took a medical exam last Nov 2004. And the clinic told to me that they sent back already the results to Canadian embassy last Dec 8 less the medical result of my wife. The clinic required my wife to take a sputum test and another chest x-ray because they found out there something wrong with her first x-ray and the clinic doctor told us that this would take three months to get the result. Then, we followed their advised. My wife took a sputum/x-ray test. Last March 8, 2005 we got the test results and it was negative when I asked the assigned doctor if they could now submit their findings to the embassy because the tests results was negative, the doctor doesn?t agreed instead they told us to go back on June 2005 for another chest x-ray of my wife. We have nothing to do just to follow their advised.
BTW, I?m the principal applicant for skilled worker immigrant and I declared on my application that my wife/children would not accompany me in Canada. Because, this is our plan of my wife, I will go first then they follow later.
Question:
How the medical result of wife will affect my application?
Is the medical result of my wife/children is necessary even though I will not accompany them in Canada?

If any member of the family fails the medical exam the application will be rejected.

Yes it is necessary because you may sponsor them later.

I heard from my immigration consultant that if a family member fails the medical test then the rest can go. Kenny, please advise where you have found that no one can immigrate if one fails. thanks.
