For canuck it is sour grapes.
So whereever he/she is it will always be sour grapes.
I dream of driving taxis in Canada.
In my own place if i drove a taxi people will laugh at me because of my high social position. But i love driving taxis. So in Canada i am free to drive taxis as much as i please.Canada is about freedom something which you will rarely get anywhere else in the world.
Its about choices. You did not choose to be in a war zone.
But you took the choice to leave your place of birth.
In a new place you may have to start right from scratch but it matters least when you know you have your freedom.......to dream,to dare and to do.....even if it is about driving taxi cabs.

this was an American experience but I want to share it with you. I was picked up at the Washington DC airport not very long ago by a black shiny new taxi. The driver was in a beautiful suit and was immaculate. By my guess he was South Asian and had a very strong accent.

I had a 40 minute taxi ride and during that time we struck up a conversation. He had been in the ´west´ for 14 years. He had saved enough to pay for his kids college education and had the opportunity to drive some of the most important people in the world to their destinations. There was no shame in his profession. He was proud, polite and he was grateful for his good life.

He even offered to come and get me at the end of my trip so he could return me to to the airport - just call him and he would be there.

I have given out Malik´s cell number many times to people travelling to Washington. He has been my immigration inspiration ever since. He made a life for himself with no regrets.
