FBI letter.

Subject: FBI letter.
  I had already sent my FBI with my appliation and got my AOR as well, but my FBI sent with application was from Aug 04, almost nearing the 12 month mark, I havent even gotten to the IA stage yet. Should I send in a fresh FBI fingerprints even without the CIC requesting me? Is this ok with CIC, has anyone out here done it. Just the FBI prints.
