Subject: If you are in or going to Quebec ............
For anyone who has submitted there CSQ and undertaking forms, how long did it take to get the CSQ?

Here is the timeline for spousal sponsorship:
March 07, 2005 application received in CPC in Mississauga, Canada
March 23, 2005 approved in Mississauga as eligible to sponsor my wife
April 08, 2005 e-client shows that my wife?s file was received in Manila
April 18, 2005 I received request from Quebec to fill out Undertaking and CSQ forms
April 18, 2005 filled out Undertaking and CSQ forms plus $250 FEE and was returned to Quebec Immigration Office
April 22, 2005 AOR - my wife received a letter confirming that the file was received and being processed in Manila
April 22, 2005 my wife also received a letter saying that we sent the wrong NBI Clearance. It was marked "for travel abroad". Should be "VISA CANADA".
April 22, 2005 my wife sent NBI Clearance marked "VISA CANADA".

May 4th, I called Quebec immigration calling center and they said they received my completed forms on May 3rd(BUT I HAND DELIVERED IT ON APRIL 18!!!) and they will be cashing in the $250 money order I sent them any day. Once cashed, they verify everything in the forms. They told me it will take another 4 to 6 weeks!

What is your experience on this???

I don´t know about Manilla office. But about the QCS, I can tell you that they say 4-6 weeks because they do not want to be bothered. In my case, it took 3 weeks. Quebec informs the Manilla office about the QCS. So DO NOT send the certificate to your wife. Send her a photocopy. She does not have to send this copy to Manilla office.

Good luck.

When you say it took 3 weeks, do you mean from the day that you sent the completed forms to them?

I sent it personally on the 18th of April. So 3 weeks would mean that I should be receiving it on the 9th of May.
Is this what you mean?

Thanks again!

I handed delivered them and they were sent back to me because I had forgotten to write something. So I lost about 3 weeks.

I handed delivered the docs again and I received the certificate and all the necessary documents at home approximately 3 weeks later. Of course, it can vary if they receive a lot of application at the same time.

You should phone and ask them, as I did. I was told that I would receive them "very soon". In fact, I received them the day after. So they were already in the mail.

Good luck.
