Hey Frenz...I have got passport request from the New Delhi office but am presently in US. I am not supposed to send the passports out of the country of residence.
Does somebody knows if I can get the visa without the passport? OR Can I get the visa here in US ??
Pl help me in letting me know how to get out of such a situation.
Any help will be appreciated.

unfortunately you can only get your visa from New Delhi CIC

So the only option left is sending the passports by post from here. Is that a good idea?

You CAN NOT mail the passport. The only possible way of getting the visa stamp is to ask a freind/relative going to India to carry it with them with your authorization letter. Once the passport is stamped someone will have to carry it back to US.
