After waiting over 50 days for some kind of acknowledgement from CPC-M regarding my application to sponsor my wife for PR (I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring from Korea), I decided to contact my MP in Canada. I was told it would take about two weeks for a reply. Today that time had elapsed so I decided to call again.
I was told that I have met the requirements for sponsorship ? YA-HOO! -- and that a letter has been sent (must be in transit). The application has not yet been forwarded to Seoul, but I will be receiving a file number as soon as this happens.
So for those of you who are sponsoring from overseas ? that means you, Rachunek ? please feel free to breath a sigh of relief that the extra time does not necessarily equate to bad news.
