Hi,
I want to know what is the best way to send passports to Buffalo-Via mail or should I personally go there to get it stamped? If so how long does it take?Do you need prior appointment and can it be done on the same day?
Thanks.

(in reply to: Passports to buffalo-which is the best way?) Buffalo accepts passports in person only on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS. You can go to the consulate and drop your passport between 8:00 and 11:30 am and pick it up between 1:00 -3:00 pm the SAME DAY. The service is really good and people are really friendly.
I would suggest investing a few more dollars on your airfare and perhaps a hotel and do it in person... in that way you avoid the anxiety from more waiting periods... especially when it is your passport...

(in reply to: Passports to buffalo-which is the best way?) Hello,
I-ve read on some other forums about people going by themselves to get their passports stamped, and I´ve also read of some people sending them via DHL nextday, including a prepaid airway bill; about the appointment, I don´t know if you need one. I´ve gone twice to the Canadian embassy at Mexico City without an appointment, to deliver docs and to request a change of a police clearance request that had the wrong birth date of my wife, and didn´t have any problems, the treated me very kindly.
Hope this helps.

(in reply to: Passports to buffalo-which is the best way?) No need for appointment in Buffalo. Just show up on TUESDAY or THURSDAY. Any other day you will be turned back...

Passports to Buffalo (in reply to: Passports to buffalo-which is the best way?) Hello,
I received notice from Buffalo too, but I can´t find the grey envelope that I´m supposed to put my PP and pictures in!!
I was told I could go to Buffalo in person instead, but the drive is too too long and I´m not finding any reasonable airfare.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?? Will my visa not be issued without the grey envelope? I received my notice two weeks ago...is there a time line by which I have to go get the visa?
I REALLY APPREICATE YOUR SUGGESTIONS IN THIS MATTER.
