  Ottawa eyes streamlining immigration applications
=================================================

To quote from this newsline...

"...The aim of the citizenship changes is to reduce the current backlog of cases that can see applicants wait up to two years for a decision. The government wants to cut the wait time to 12 months..."

They don´t have to look far to clean-up. Buffalo CIC is taking several months even to issue AOR and IA´s.

There are several applicants including myself who finished all formalities in October last year and are waiting to hear from the consulate.

The E-Status does not work.

There is absolutely no accountability on behalf of the consulate which does not inform any aspect of application to the applicants (in terms of stage and duration).

These then seem wishful thoughts by govt. I guess to make voters happy.

Departure Bay... you make a very big statement about the Canadian government. do you have any examples? what is your personal knowledge of this subject?

please remember that people reading this forum cannot always decern the difference between reality and political comment without substance.
