Subject: Buffalo - New Timeline?
I was reading the new advised time-line for permanent resident cases cleared from Buffalo, USA. It seems that the waiting period has touched almost 2-3 years.

Processing Times at Individual Visa Offices in the Western Hemisphere - Buffalo

30% of cases finalized in:(months) 20
50% of cases finalized in:(months) 24
70% of cases finalized in:(months) 28
80% of cases finalized in:(months) 31

Got these numbers from:

Does anyone know why Buffalo is taking longer time to clear cases now? I as other many I see on this site have bad their medicals cleared months back, yet we are waiting.

About 8 months of waiting after medical has become quite common for Buffalo applicants.

any possible reason. large number of visitor and student visas. But what I really think... last November was the US election and there were folks that made the decision that they do not want to live in the US anymore. I would not be surprised if Buffalo has received a spike of applications in December/January. Hopefully, things will settle down again.

just my guess.

I know it has become a little slow, lets wait for the numbers for first quarter of 2005 , which we expect to
get published in April end, it will make the things more clear. Well, as my knowledge goes most of the applicants
in skilled worker category who have applied in Jan 2004 have got their PRs so it is not that bad 12-16 months
