Subject: FBI Police clearance
  Hello all,
I applied in March 04 and did my medicals in Dec 04. I sent FBI Police clearance with my application and is one year old now.
I will appreciate if someone can answer following questions-
1. Are they going to request the FBI PCC one more time since it´s been an year?
2. Can I go ahead and do my fingerprints and send it to FBI for PCC in advance?

Thank you all.

I also sent my FBI and PCC from India with my application in June ´04. I thought same way as you are thinking and sent my FBI finger print card in January 05. I got IA and Medicals in Mar 05. The only document they asked is updated bank statements and asked to pay RPRF. That is all.

But it is better to send FBI finger printing in the 7th or 8th month of your application. You never know when they ask and when they won´t.

Hope this helps.

I am exactly in the same boat minus the FBI certificate...

I applied in March 04 and then I got my IA and Medicals in November... but because I was out of Canada I had to do it in January.

I finisihed my Medicals in Jan 05 and send additional documents - updated work expereince letters, 3 months bank statements, FBI police clearance, and a list of all the addresses I had stayed so far.

In early March I sent the Indian PCC(again- as they asked for it) and the ROLF.

So I have submitted all what they wanted... I think it takes about 3 months time from the day you submit your medicals...

So lets hope that by end of April-May I hope to get the PP request... Ohh by the way... I applied to Buffalo under SW class.

Ohh by the way answering your question... If they dont request the FBI clearance then dont go for it... I mean you can keep it ready but dont send I until they ask for it.. it will needleesly increase work for the officers and they may not like it...

These people are like machines... and they have to go thru their Standard Operating Proceedures... If you add some extra work what they had not asked for then it will just create a problem without any reason...

Would you like to burden your stuff needlessly... so just chill out... May be you wanna keep the FBI thing ready in case they ask for it... bt dont submit it until they ask for...

FBI these days take about 1 week for processing if you send them and call them asking it to make it urgent.

Cheers,
