  To make your own content with DVD in Avid Media Composer, you´ll need to rip and convert DVD to Avid MC supported video formats first. Here´s how.

There are occasions that you need to import footage on DVD to Avid Media Composer 8/7/6/5 for further editing. However, DVD videos does not natively work within Avid MC.
