Subject: scholarship with a clause to return home

Hi,

I would highly appreciate it if someone can help me with this. if your studies or training have been sponsored by a university at your home country with a clause that you have to go back and work for them for an equal duration of your studies/training (which could be up to 10 years), will this effect your immigration process? will it make you ineligible?
