All Canadian´s are not treated equally.

Appellants in certain provinces get an (ADR) alternate dispute resolution process fairly quickly in an attempt to resolve the matter. Others have to wait for the full appeal.

14 months would imply to me that no one requested an ADR or the refusal was based on more than one regulation. If the marriage was a third marriage you won´t get an ADR.

This applicant came to Canada while married with a child and made a refugee claim based on homosexuality persecution. He filled in the application himself and made some mistakes and got called for an interview. Just after the CIC Officer interviewed his new 7 1/2 month pregnant wife he was asked what is his sexual persuasion. He said "I´m a homosexual"! When the Visa Post Officer looked shocked he followed that answer with "there are seven types of homosexuals".

Finding an experienced, quality representative who can prove they win appeals is what you should be focused on. Once you find that person get them to push your file along by speaking to the case officer.

Hussain you applied and got shot down once and you appealed on your own? Dumb! Takes Roy´s help (Trust me I never met the guy and don´t have any relation to him), he is a thorough expert in this kind of matters. Good luck! Don´t blow your chances by doing it yourself
