I am a live in caregiver since July 2012 under the same employwr. It just so happen that my passport is due to expire within my two years contract. My passport expiration is May therefore as follows, my work permit will expire April, just 3 months short of my contract. I have already renewed my passport but what would be a much more practical way since I want to apply for an open work permit and a TRV as soon as I comply with the 24 months requirements. If I do renew my work permit before the current one expires then I would be applying for an open work an TRV maybe even before the new work permit arrives to cover the remainder of my contract or is it possible for me to include a few more months in this application?
