hi,
My husband finished his masters in ottawa and he was suppose to get 3yrs work permit and unfortunately he got only for 1 1/2 year..we have applied for change but we dint receive it yet..If we get the approval do we get it from alberta or ottawa?
Secondly his LMO´S to got rejected on some case.but we have dropped our PR..Our visa is expiring on Jan 5th 2014 ..so can we stay legally till we get the PR thing get over or do we have to leave the country??
Plzz do reply us as soon as possible itz really urgent..thanks in advance

Submitting a PR application doesn´t give you status in Canada.
You need to extend your status before it expires on January 5th.

hi,
can we apply for a open bridge work permit..I am still waiting for the AOR number .Can we apply the BOWP first and then send the AOR number in couple of days..Is there other chance of we guys staying in canada legally..please help us..

You need AOR to apply for the BOWP.
As I said before, if you want to stay in Canada you need to extend your status before it expires on January 5th. If you don´t have AOR, then you can apply to change your status to a visitor (you will have to stop working).
