The first question one should ask when having a consultation with an Immigration Firm is;

Why should I retain your firm over another firm?

Whom will actually be working on my file?

What will you do that is different so I can win?

How much?

Many times when partners decide to save funds and submit a Spousal Application by themselves things can go wrong. The applicant may not know some particular thing and the Visa Officer focuses on that item and refuses. Then there is the appeal process.

The Immigration Firm is to put together a submission package with items to overcome the reasons for refusal.

On Saturday I had a consultation with an appellant who showed me a submission package with black and white photos of him and his spouse as well a bunch of photo copies of phone cards. Needless to say he lost at his ADR.

I´m old enough to remember the introduction of colour TV from Black & White TV. Huge difference!!

Phone cards do not prove that they were used to call your Spouse. Copies of phone cards do not even prove that the cards were used.

The potential client claims he was not even prepped for the ADR as to what questions to expect.

If you have used phone cards contact the phone card company to get which number was called using their cards and the duration of each call. Make sure the Firm you retain colour photo copy your pictures so the copies can better display the joy on both of your faces.

Most important ask for a list of potential questions you could be asked and what responses would be best and why.
