I have already applied for citizenship in 2012 and I was 53 yrs old at the time. When my file gets processing I will be complete 54 years.
Question: Will I have to give a written test?

Yes - you will have to write the test. Whether you have to write the test or not is determine by what age you are at the time you submit your application.
