| Subject: swaping your uk licence for a canadian one |
to start truck driving in Canada when you have a full uk hgv licence and a work visa do you need to sit a test or can you start working straight away?

Most provinces have agreements to switch driver licenses. Either way you still need a work permit.

I do not know man for a British license ..? 10- years ago I had a Italian driving license DE(for trucks longer then 12 m) and they did not recognize it ( On. Bc.Qc.) maybe Quebec was going to give me directly one for small cars but not for heavy trucks, I had to give e same for everything
