We have had our landing appointment in Ottawa not go through the first time because the Provincial Government did not send me my drivers license in time with the updated address. The second attempt at the landing appointment also failed because cic´s computer system accidentally "dropped" the application since cic is updating their IT system. A third time we were told that the VO was on vacation, another time they were sick. FInally last Friday we were guaranteed by a "supervisor" that the landing appointment would be this week. This was also guaranteed to The MP´s office who has been trying to assist us. Today however we received a call from this same supervisor explaining that the file had been moved from him to another individual and this individual asked us to bring in documentation proving that my husband lived with me at our first address in Canada. We faxed proof of this to the office in the form of a Bank document and letter. This is all after our file had been finalized and approved for PR status by the Vegreville, AB office, not to mention the $1200 processing fee paid for. This unnecessary delay is deterring my husband from working in his field and continues to place him in legal limbo. We are both extremely sickened over this situation and would request any helpful comments or advice.
