I am a live-in caregiver, and I will finish my caregiver program this coming July 2013, is it possible not to sponsor my wife and kids by not including them for my PR applications?

If your dependents and your wife are not medically examined you will never be able to bring them at a later date. Regulation 117 (9) (d)

As Roy indicated, you must include them or you will never be able to sponsor them in the future. Also, if you lie on your application and say that you are single - this is misrepresentation which can be punished by having your PR status revoked.

I will declare that I am married, what I am thinking is that I want to be well prepared and financially stable before I will sponsor them. Is it not possible to apply PR just for myself?

As we have already explained - no this is not possible. You must include them in the application and they must be medically examined. You must also show you have sufficient Proof of Funds to cover your entire family (not just yourself). They don´t actually have to come to Canada with you. But they MUST be included in the application.

You have to include them in the application, there is no way around it.
However, they don´t have to immigrate with you. They have to be examined whether or not they are moving with you to Canada at this point.
If you don´t include them, there are two things that will happen:
1- You will be charged with misrepresentation and your PR could be revoked.
2- If #1 doesn´t happen, you will never be allowed to sponsor your family EVER!
Follow the procedures that are in place.
