Subject: Roy Please address - ARC refusal in Spousal
  Hi Roy
I applied to sponsor my husband & we were at the stage where he was being reviewed for ARC. I checked the ECAS status last night & it says decision made. This to me suggests that the ARC has been refused. It has been almost 3 yrs since the application & 4 yrs since his return.
1. Can we appeal the decision if it relates to an ARC refusal
2. Do you represent cases of this nature?
3. How long will this possibly take
4. How should we proceed?

Ecas stated that they will contact the applicant. Does that mean I (sponsor) will not get any letter from them

The reason I made the assumption is that my husband´s medical & police records are both expired, he has not be asked to renew either nor was he asked to submit his passport for the visa. So I do not know what else to think since my understanding is decision made is not entered until the visa is issued. Correct me if I am wrong

in my time when decision is made that means the visa is ready for issuance,so you receive the visa request form to send back with the passport. it can be sent by email or regular mail (depends whether you provided an email or not)

go to justice decisions website:
www.canlii.org/en/index.html

enter in the full text search :
Authorization to return to Canada

you will have all full decision of appel in the federal court

Well first Happy Easter.

Why do people expect the worse?

How about focusing on the positive you´re in a genuine marriage and he screwed up a bit when it came to Immigration. SO!

Canadian´s believe in rehabilitation and walk around all over the place saying SORRY. Tim Hortons have a commercial where the Canadian Geese are flying saying Sorry, Sorry, Sorry.

We just got one husband returned this week and it took them a year to process the ARC. The fastest ever is two weeks.

When you believe good things are coming your way they will!

We also win ARC refusals and can prove same but I want you to see him coming through the airport doors. IMAGINE!

Thank you all for your responses. I am loking also at the various case studies.

Roy a special thanks to you since I had asked you specifically for an answer. When I read your post I both laughed & cried (mixed emotions) as it gave me hope. I will hang on to that hope and when we get the physical letter from the visa office we will take it from there.
