Subject: Married Independent child
I have applied to be sponsoring my mother and my mother’s dependent child (my sister) on Apr 20Th 2009.
That time my sister was under the age of 22 and full-time and unmarried student.
According to the letter I received from Case Processing center in Mississauga my application to sponsor my mother met the requirements and decision has been made and the application has been sent to the Visa office.
I really need some help on this one since it is kind of tricky! The question is :
If my sister get married right now (before Assessment of her application being processed in the Visa office)
Is she still considering as a dependent child?

Thank you indeed,

KOne

If she gets married she is no longer a dependent. She needs to wait until after she becomes a PR to get married. If she gets married before she becomes a PR, she can no longer be included as part of your mother´s application.
