(in reply to: How to avoid staying 2 years in Canada to keep PR) The rules are that you can stay up to (3 years out of 5)outside, so you want to stay in China for 2 years, just do it and then go back and stay for 3 more years in Canada and get the canadian passport.

(in reply to: How to avoid staying 2 years in Canada to keep PR) I am a little confused. why do you want PR status when you don´t really want to live in Canada?

(in reply to: How to avoid staying 2 years in Canada to keep PR) The ways to avoid the 2 years are:
1) Marry a Canadian citizen and live with that Canadian citizen outside of Canada. Days spent outside of Canada with a Canadian citizen spouse will be counted as days in Canada.
2) Be hired by a Canadian company for a job in Canada. After working in Canada for a period of time, be transferred to a job outside of Canada. The days you work outside of Canada will then be counted as days in Canada. ***Note: setting up your own Canadian company won´t work***
