Subject: advises on PRRA
  Hi there

I always think this site is really useful.

I had my first refugee hearing on 19/oct/2011 and was rejected. once i received my negative decision I married my girl friend on 18/march/2012 where we know each other for few years and which is geniune. My wife filed inland sponsor on April 2012.

I was already called by CBSA for an interviw and to call them every month to report. which im already calling them on a monthly basis to report.

At the same time i appealed for the federal court and it was rejected on july 3 2012. just received a letter yesterday from CBSA calling me for an interview which is supposed to held on 20/sep/12.

just wondering will I be deported on that day or is there any chances I will be giveto apply for PRRA.

Thank you

You will highly likely be given a choice to take an option of POSSIBLY $2,000.00 to leave sand have 24 hours to respond. Then they will call you in again giving you three weeks to bring in a plane ticket.

Thanks Roy.

Im from Sri Lanka and will be definetely tortured if i returned as my family is been warned and threat by the bad ppl now because of me.

Just to tell you i will be definetly tortured or killed for sure. But the CBSA dont understand or i wasnt given a fair chance explain the refugee board.

I do not have a Passport now and i didnt not enter canada thru airport. just came thru US fort erie. My understanding is they will not be deported by airport, they will hand me to US.

Want to know whether i will be still advise to buy a plane and do i still have to have a passport to enter US.

Please help me..

CBSA will not hand you over to the US. There is no reason for the US to take you back, you are not a US citizen or a legal resident.

One of three things is going to happen.

1- You get a passport so CBSA can deport you.
2- If there is a risk that you are going to disappear without a trace, CBSA can put you in detention while your embassy issues a passport or a travel document so you can be deported.

3- OR if CBSA can verify your country of nationality, then CIC can issue a travel document so we can deport you.

A commercial airline will not let you board without a valid travel document.

Forget about the US, you will not be sent back down there unless there is a warrant against you.

Hi DocD.

Thank you sooo much for your update. will not be given a chance to apply PRRA. I heard that i will be given a chance to apply for PRRA, 1 year from my negative decision made.

My negative decision was made by on 19 oct 2011. so my 1 year is up in a month time.

Will I be given a chance to apply for prra.

Thank you.
