I knew of someone who don´t have any status for more than 2years in Canada, she don´t have any working permit but she does have a child. She said she is still legal to work in her own house even without a working permit. And she won´t get deported because she have a baby that was born in Canada. Is that true?

(in reply to: Am I allowed to work without working permit?) No it is not true at all, if she has a Canadian baby, she CAN still be deported!
Working in her own house doing what?

(in reply to: Am I allowed to work without working permit?) She is taking care of kids and they are paying her 1800bucks a month. She said that is legal because she is taking care of the kids in her own home and she is under deportation issues.

(in reply to: Am I allowed to work without working permit?) She´s wrong. She´s working illegally.
And she´s wrong about the deportation as well. She can certainly be deported. It doesn´t matter that she has a Canadian citizen child. She derives no benefits from the child and its citizenship.

Suggestion (in reply to: Am I allowed to work without working permit?) Hi, She is definitely misguided or something. I don´t think that we can work in Canada without a permit. However, If you want a clarification on the topic you can just visit www.siskinds.com/Home.aspx.
