How much will I need?
My boyfriend will look to start school in September so I was wondering how much it is that we have to show the embassy that we have to maintain our stay in Canada.

I assume your boyfriend is not a Canadian citizen or PR?
If your boyfriend is a foreign student - then he will need a study permit to study in Canada. To be approved for a study permit, he will need to show a bank balance that covers first year tuitio + $10K living expenses + $2K to $3K travel expenses.

There are legitimate organizations which will help you stay in Canada either for work, education or whether your choosing to move here permanently.
