Subject: OHIP coverage.
I was born in Ontario,Canada.I became an American citizen about 6 years ago.
My question is; can I still be covered by OHIP if I visit Ontario a few weeks every summer? Thank you

No - you won´t be covered by OHIP during these visits.

To be covered by OHIP, you must be a resident of Ontario. To be considered a resident, you must be living in Ontario at least 153 days out of the year.

If you ever decide to move back to Ontario permanently, there will be a three month waiting period after you have moved back to the province before you will be covered by OHIP.

So the short answer is no - you won´t be covered. Buy private insurance.
