Hello,
I applied in PNP class and recently got my medical request! But I am planning to get married in Dec, 2011. So, I would like to add my spouse in my PR application.
Just wondering how should I do that? which forms I need to send to buffalo? How can I inform CIC and do I need to send my application forms again with changed marriage status. or is there any specific forms for my spouse?

once you are married you MUST inform CIC of your change in status. You will have a choice after that... 1) you can go to Canada and sponsor your wife after that. It takes about 10 months to a year for the process to complete.
Second option is that your application will need to stall until your new wife fills out the appropriate documents and gets caught up to where your application is at.
pros/cons of #1 - you get to Canada faster but you will be separated for a year. pros/cons of #2 you will be able to immigrate together but it will delay your application.

thanks for your reply!!! I am already in Canada with workpermit and working now. I am planning to add my spouse right after our marriage. I don´t mind to delay my application.
Do you have any idea, how should I inform CIC? What are the documents I should send for my spous?

Hi Guys
Same situation here, I sent CIC an email and informed them of my change of marital status, but there has been no reply (its over a month now), Can anyone comment what should I do? Would it help if I send all the documents I think required! to CIC myself or should I wait for them to get back to me?

Hello everyone
Seems like you guys might have your PR by now, it been years that you guys were enquiring about it, Right now im in the same boat, got married, sent email to CIC and now filling up all the forms which I will send in next week.
Do you know by how much it will delay my application. I m done with my medical plus paid landing fee as well.
Any help or comment will be greatly appreciated.
