What would you do if you are in her situation Roy? I would go back to Manila and care for my grandchild. If that means losing my PR - so be it. It´s a no brainer.

See the report "Jocelyn Miranda is faced with a difficult choice: abandon her husband or desert their grandchild."

It should be rephrase to "Jocelyn Miranda is faced with a difficult choice : abandon her family or canadian PR."

There you go again Roy, always playing the compassion or common sense card. If everyone use the same sob story, how much money and resources will be spent investigating each and individual case? Not to mention about extended timeline. I would like to think you are really ignorant than anything else....really... Compassion????? This situation can be solved by moving back to Manila!! It´s not life and death... how about granting Visas/PR/Refugee to those battered women in pakistan where the law allow men to beat or even kill women. They are not allow to divorce too. Their daughters are not allow to choose who they married to (I am sure you´ve read those stories on the paper). How´s that for human right?
I wonder how much did you contribute to Haiti earthquake when it happen? I only landed less than 2 months when it happens and ALL my course mates (recent landed PRs - I was attending a resume writting class at that time) contribute what they can.
You give me an impression that you only talk and if you on some rare occassion does give somehting (example pro bono case), you will surely highlight it - that´s not charity when it is being used for publicity!!!
If we were to vote you to run the government, canada will be bankrupt in 1 year!! maybe less.... If given unlimited resources, I would be compassionate too! You are a simple man who are not aware of the difficulties the government (in fact most governments in the world) is facing.

Making money is not a crime... What I do not like about him is
(1) his motive - he only response to potential customer
(2) always complaining how the government agencies lack common sense and compassion etc etc without giving a viable solutions.... it´s easy to complain. I can also say give refugees status to all deserving claimants but where is the money coming from??

Roy answers the posts that interest him - same as me or anyone else. Is that now a federal crime?

Complaining... seems to me everyone around here complains - including you!
