Subject: Police certificates
  Hi,

As we speal I´m gathering all the documents to apply for PR being sponsored by my partner, a Canadian. Going through the guides, it is said at some point:
" Any document that is not in English or in French must be accompanied by:
. the English or French translation,
. an affidavit from the person who completed the translation, and
. a certified copy of the original document"

So, my doubt, the certified copy is of the original document (police certificate) even if I am sending the original anyway? Does any one have ever had this doubt, or is it just me?

Thanks for any help!

NO SUBSTITUTE (in reply to: Police certificates)
CIC accepts only original police certificates.

Send the original police certificate and the certified translated copy of it if it´s not English or French.

"a certified copy of the original document" means you get lawyer to notarized (certified) your original documents e.g marriage cert, education cert etc. DO NOT SEND original cert except police cert.
