Regardless of your political leanings, Canadians respect people that stand up for what they believe and serve their country with endless passion and dignity.
Jack Layton, leader of the NDP and the biggest heart of any politician out there has lost his battle with cancer.
The entire country wishes his family our heart sympathies and thanks for his many years of sacrifice and public service.
May he Rest in Peace.

Sad indeed. I think he and the NDP fought for social equality and justice better than any other party in Canada. Agree that sorry we never saw him become PM.
