Hello there.can anyone give me an answer to my question?I had filed a divorce with my husband,we don´t have kids and i had already cancelled his application to canada.i am in an open work permit for more than a year.My husband was threatening me recently thru other people that he will find a way to deport me.he is not in Canada though.he is working in other country.Can i be deported because of divorce?To the fact that i dont love him anymore and we never lived together long as couple?

no, you cannot be deported because of divorce. I am assuming you are the one that is qualified to work in Canada.
sounds like you should be happy to be rid of him.

Yes.that is why I was wondering why he was threatening me while in fact i have the right to cancel his application since i am the principal applicant.Our divorce is almost done as he did not contest.and you are right,i really want to get rid of him.thanks though for your answer.

LOL, I think he just woke up to the fact that Canada is no longer an option for him and there is absolutely nothing he can do about it. The threats should get interesting!
