Subject: Extend visa as a worker |

Hello,
I´m in Working Holiday visa. It´s an open work permit for one year. My visa expires in the end of october and i want to extend my work permit. I have a part time job in services position (not skilled worker). I found that you can extend your visa as a worker if you apply for a work permit within canada. But you need that your boss apply for a Labour Market Opinion. My questions are:
- How much it´s the process time of Labour Markey Opinion?
- They need to post an a job offer if I´m already working?
- They need to do a contract o with job offer it´s enough?
- They have to pay any cost if I´m already working?
- First they have to apply for LMO and if I have a positive or neutral impact is when I have to apply for work permit or I can do it before?
- I have to do two applications? One, for the extension an the other application for work permit within canada?
- I have an other options to extend mi visa as a worker? At the moment I can´t apply for to be a permanent resident.
Thank you very much.

(in reply to: Extend visa as a worker) Yes - your employer will need to be approved for an LMO.
No - you cannot apply for a work permit first. The LMO has to be approved before you can apply for a work permit.
Yes - your employer MUST advertise the job before they can submit the LMO application.
There are no fees charged by the government for LMOs.
