| Subject: Divorced in home country Before Visa |

Hi!
Currently my wife and me applied(me as dependent and my wife as principal applicant) for Permanent residency under Federal Skilled Worker in Canada. And we got visa for permanent residence in Canada but we got divorced in our home country before our visa/interview. Now she told me that she is going to land alone in Canada (may be she landed or not I am not sure. If I inform Canadian Immigration with divorced paper what happens to her PR status/visa? in case if she had already landed in Canada? and What happens to our visa if she has not landed in Canada?
I want to inform Canadian High Commission from where we received visa with the divorced paper and other essential documents right now?

Simple if she did not tell them of her change in marital status that is misrepresentation A40. She probably got some points because of you so there could be an error under the act.
If she did not tell them then in theory your PR visa is still valid if she already has Landed. if you get stopped at the border you will be detained and sent back.

Let her be aware that both of u can land together, but u may go your seperate ways after landing. U can tell her u may report her because it is misrepresentation. But also know that she can also get u into trouble cos u cannot say u are not aware. Just find a way to go with her cos she may not give u her address which u will need, if she lands 1st & u as dependant cannot land before her
