Subject: Sponsoring Parents |

I am a newly naturalized canadian citizen and would like to sponsor my Parents. However, I am unemployed for almost 2 years and my husband is the only one working. His income is in the bracket range of the required income to sponsor 2 persons. We have 1 child.
My question is, can I still sponsor my parents even if I am unemployed and my husband is the only one working? Is the required income to sponsor also means family income?
I hope to get answers from you. Thank you in advance.

(in reply to: Sponsoring Parents) Yes - you can still sponsor provided your husband signs as a co-sponsor.
Keep in mind that you must show sufficient income to support five people (you, your husband, your child and your parents).
