My Afternoon Rant!

There is no such thing as an IMMIGRATION EXPERT!!!

The Immigration Act and Regulations (IRPA & IRPR) are open for interpretation and since we can all interpret the same thing two or three different ways how can anyone claim to be an IMMIGRATION EXPERT?

Many Immigration Consultants are former CIC staff members. Some Lawyers as well but Consultants are normally because they cross over and start assisting clients hoping to make it big.

That said make sure you find out what type of CIC staff member they were with Immigration in their past. A very low CIC clerk may not be the best person to represent you at an Immigration hearing. A former hearings Officer may not be the best person to retain for FSW applications because they don´t like filling in forms or waiting for a year + to see a result.

Only Lawyer´s who are members of the Law Society of Upper Canada(Ontario) can call themselves "Immigration Specialist" and they do not call themselves "IMMIGRATION EXPERT´S"!

A large Law Firm with good name recognition may have one Immigration specialist and have ten other Lawyers with a couple of Consultants on staff. Retaining a huge firm does not mean that your particular application will be treated with the time and expertise that you expect. The Large firm may have sufficient staff to deal with any potential client who walks in the door but remember they have to pay all those support staff. It is the issue of who actually works on your file that you should be concerned about.

I would never call myself an "IMMIGRATION EXPERT" because that would mean there is nothing more for me to learn.

Any web site that claims they have "IMMIGRATION EXPERT´S" or that they themselves are an "IMMIGRATION EXPERT" should be avoided. One such site hires brand new Consultants right out of Community College and your case may be their first - yet this company refers to these NEWBIES as "IMMIGRATION EXPERT´S"!

Ask many questions of anyone claiming to be an "IMMIGRATION EXPERT"! Do not get fooled by the fancy car, clothes, office etc. If it is too good to be true, RUN!!!!!

Remember always get references, get proof that they have been successful with other clients problems that are similar to yours, never except the comment just put the money on the desk and we will take care of you.

Most Quality authorized representatives will provide free consultation. Do your research and remember the time saved hiring a quality, experienced, authorized representative is priceless.

What advertisement? I never said this is what I do and how much I charge.

So could you be critical of the content I posted instead of being so bland? Every thing in moderation and nothing to extreme. The only thing your upset about is that I identified myself.

Yet you hide behind kdjfsd so you must be from Global Visa´s or your in the same business as me and your jealous.

Never, Never, Never Pay a Penny to any other person, LOL.

It would be such a perfect world if all were able to apply for everything on their own. That no one did anything silly or ill advised and got themselves into such a mess they could depend on the CIC Officer to have a tender heart and show extreme compassion.

If men and women could follow directions easily there would be no need for a GPS, a car mechanic, a Carpenter, a Doctor, or an authorized Immigration Advisor!

Now lets see there is at approximately 2000 certified Immigration Consultants and another at least 3000 Lawyers who has their main focus as Immigration. That is five thousand authorized representatives assisting the economy of Canada, feeding their families, etc. etc. and serving an average of 3000 clients each.

Well I guess the vast majority are not as intelligent as you when reading instructions. I bet you do your own transmission jobs, change your breaks, rotate your own tires, finish your own basement, medicate yourself, and your able to fold your own map just perfectly so you never get lost.

I note you never post when others really advertise instead of giving quality advice.

spousal visa refused (in reply to: IMMIGRATION EXPERT)
Hi Ray,
Please help me. I came to canada from nepal with my ex wife and two sons in 2003.I am canadian citizen. I got divorce in 2009 and my two sons are living with me. In july 2010, I called my parents in nepal to find the suitable bride for me. They found my present wife and sent me pictures. I communicated with my wife through phone and skype for the first time in september 4 and then several times after. She is ten years younger than me and never married. She told me that she accepted me eventhough i am ten years elder than her and have two kids only because she found that i am a good man. Also, her financial situation is not good. Then, everything was fixed by my parents for marriage in september 15, 2010. They went to my wife´s home and present her engagement ring and other things as per hindu religion. Then I went there on oct 4, 2101 and we got married on oct 5 as per hindu religion and followed by reception party. We went to honeymoon on oct 12 to 15. Then I came back to Canada and applied for sponsorship. But i lied in questionaire saying that I met her in 2006 for the first time. I lied because I want to look our relationship long so that we can get visa easily. Unfortunately visa officer caught that and refused the visa last week only. Please suggest whether i should reapply with correction or appleal. Which one is good in my case. Thanks.

sorry... what a stupid thing to do.

there is nothing to appeal - you lied. Start again and unfortunately, the second time is going to be even harder because you are going to have to explain why you lied in the first place.
