| Subject: Wife's first and last name changed after marriage |

hello all
i am canadian pr , i recently got married in india and my wife´s first and ofcourse last name both are changed , so i have some questions on how to apply for sponsorship, my wife´s passport and all documents are in her old name but marriage certificate issued by civil court mentions her new name
so should she first change her name in passport in india, PAN CARD and then i should apply for her immigration , if i apply with last name , will it be a problem
pls help

Do you really think that you two are the only couple that has been through this situation in all of India?
Common Sense Amvk either change the passport or explain the situation with a short note that is paper clipped to the forms.

thanks Roy, i know in india, it´s very common to change woman´s first and last name both after marriage, so my plan of action is
1. first change her name in passport
2. make a affidavit of change in name
3. change the name in PAN card (india´s prime photo id document)
after all this is done - I can then apply for her PR , pls tell me if i have do something else
