Subject: Sponsorship while living in the United States |

My husband and I both live and work in the United States. He just received his Canadian citizenship card, his dad was born in Canada, and we are in the process of the paperwork for sponsorship/permanent residence for me under the family class. We have been married 20 yrs. I have already been cleared medically and currently waiting for my FBI clearence.
Here is the question; We want to continue to live and work in the US while waiting for all the paperwork to go through. Will he need to have a job and be working in Canada in order to sponsor me? If so, how long will he need to be working to be applicable? Or will he just need a promise for a job? Thanks
