Subject: Regarding PCC for Returning to Canada
I am having valid pr till August 2011. I stayed two years in Canada and then I returned to India. I stayed in India for 2.5 years and returning to Canada to retain my PR. Do I need Police Clearance Certificate in case of returning to Canada?

Kindly resolve this doubt at your earliest.

Thanks

Regarding Police Clearance Certificate for returning PR (in reply to: Regarding PCC for Returning to Canada)
But the question is I spent more than six months in India and now I am returning to Canada. I have doubt that can an immigration officer of either country ask anything regarding PCC ? I have taken one way ticket from India to Canada. Can they ask anything at the immigration check Since I am meeting Permanent Residency criteria ? What kind of queries they have ?

You don´t need a PCC. It is not relevant.

The questions are going to be:

1- How long have you been outside of Canada?
2- Do you have anything to declare? food? including spices?
3- What were you doing for 2.5 yrs in India?

And after that if you answer the questions with flying colours, the officer will stamp the Customs Declaration and 10 seconds later you will be picking up your suitcase and heading out of the inspection area.
