Subject: Family Class visa Manila
Hi everyone. I´m a little confused right now and wondered if anyone has some awnsers for me.

I sent away my application to sponsor my wife, and was approved in October of 2010. In December the embassy in manila recieved my wifes application for permanent residency, and in January I flew to Manila to spend time with my family. While I was there, my wife recieved a letter for additional information, as well they requested her passport. Now I check her status online and it says medical results recieved. Is this normal procedure? I was under the impression that they only asked for the passport when they were ready to issue her visa? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

What additional information did they ask for?

NBI Clearance, NSO Original Advisory on marriages, they also wanted her to resubmit Appendix A, and her 9 photographs. Then she had to send her original passport as well.

My confusion is that, it was less than a month and they already requested her passport? Is that normal? Does this mean her visa will be issued soon?

..Original Advisory on marriages, to resubmit Appendix A, and her 9 photograph, original passport..

Screening may be still in process.

Resubmission means a second look.

9 photographs? They must be wedding related personal photos.

Original passport for travel history.

Update:

I checked the CIC website today and heres what I saw..

A decision has been made on _ application. The office will contact _ concerning this decision.

This is Febuary 25th, and they started proccessing on Febuary 4th. What does this mean? Im really confused and does this mean she got her visa?

That only means your application is approved and a Visa will be issued in her passport, if you already submitted it.
