| Subject: Rescheduling citizenship ceremony |

After many years in Canada I finally receive my citizenship ceremony notice and I cannot attend it due to a business trip that was booked, planned, paid for and have a host of commitments attached to it(including the plans of other Canadian business partners who will also be screwed if I cannot go). The financial well being of my family depends on it. It is not like I am going to Jamaica to drink cocktails on the beach.
The notice was mailed from 55 St. Clair one frigging week before the ceremony´s date.
I picked up the notice today(Friday), and the ceremony is Monday and my flight is this Sunday. I didn´t even get a chance to call the call centre. this is ridiculous. It takes months and years for CIC to do everything else but they give you 7 days notice to appear in the citizenship ceremony.
I don´t know if this is something done on purpose to make it difficult for fraudsters not living in the country to attend the ceremony or what not.
They say reapply or convince a citizenship judge you could not attend.
Any advice? It is unacceptable for me to reapply.

iam waiting to many almost 7 years for canadian oath i called cic to ask they told me my file closed the sent aletter for me and i did not attend the ceremony last year november and on theis time i didnt change my adress becauce i moved with my older son to fix my finicial proplem and save some money i called cic the told me to reapply again i dont know what to do
