you are making rules for yourself that don´t exist.

Canadian fiance visas were stopped because people abused them. You know how hard it is to get a fiance visa in the US? Obviously not. The same amount of time and effort as a Canadian sponsorship application. You have 90 days to get married. Status is conditional for a year after that.

You want us to get all sympathetic because no moral woman would travel to another country to meet a prospective husband. Please, do not inflict the problems and challenges of your culture or sensibilities on our countries immigration laws.

What you want to do is not an option - so get over it fast. If you want to check out a relationship before marrying, pick a local guy or get on a plane.

How do you know this potential husband is not using you for a PR card? How do you know that he would not come for a visit and then disappear? You don´t. You would not be the first and will not be the last to get tricked.

Why would any loving couple not want to spend a few days or weeks together after getting married.

If they can not afford to fly to the applicants country how will they be able to prove that they are not going to be able to support themselves without the assistance of welfare?

Also known as IRPA A39
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/I-2.5/page-3.html#anchorbo-ga:l_1-gb:l_4

It sure sounds that one person may be entering into this relationship to circumvent the IRPA and the regulations by gaining a benefit under the Act therefor proving that they are inadmissible.

I´m more important then everyone else who are waiting in line!!!!

Roy, in this case I think it is simply that our forum member has an idea in her head about how this should all happen and is annoyed that CIC does not offer her that scenario.

Waving around the phrases right to choose and human rights and blah blah blah is a noisy cover for "I want to do this my way".

Family class rules are far from perfect but they are what they are. If they don´t suit us - don´t use them!
