Subject: departure order
  Hi

I have made a refugee claim and today I was on an admissibility hearing. I received a sheet with the title "Departure Order". Before this hearing my counsel told me that the purpose of this hearing is to determine who my guardian is, who cares about me etc., since I´m only 16 years old. He also told me that everything would be ok and that I can finish high school here with no problems. My grand father had to accompany me and his english is not very good, mine neither. Anyways, after the minister told me she will order a departure order I assumed and felt that I have to leave within a period of time (30 days I think). After this hearing I asked my counsel the question if I´ll have to leave but he told me that the minister said it was a "conditional departure order". It´s like if the IRB decides that I have to leave Canada then I kind of agree to a departure order. However, I´m kind of skeptical about that and I don´t really trust my counsel.

So, what do you think? If I receive a sheet which says "Departure Order" on it, do I have to leave Canada?
