Subject: Bringing Russian women to Canada
  Hello

I am trying to bring a Russian woman to Canada, and they tell me its the law that people leaving Russia must have a certain amount of cash on them to leave. Like a few thousand dollars. Is this true and does she need to have the cash on hand? She already has her passport and ticket. I just need to get this sorted out before its to late.

Thanks Glenn

Helping Out (in reply to: Bringing Russian women to Canada)
I am helping out I have sent road money and extra for just incase. She has money but I am hearing you need to prove to the Russian Government that you wont be a burden to them I guess. She is hearing we need to have thousands of dollars to get out of Russia. Is this he law in Russia? I dont know and no one will tell me any different. She has her visa already. The purpose of her visit is to come and visit, and see if her and I can be together forever. She is the sweetest woman I have ever met. I wait for her letters everyday as does she for mine.

so, is she coming for a visit and will return home or is she coming with the hope of staying?

She may have a visa but they may not let her in the country if it smells like she won´t go home.

Sorry - you´re being fed a bunch of B.S. There´s no such requirement.

I know you´re in love, but please do yourself a favour and look up your lovely lady in the following scammer databases. Hopefully she´s not listed there and what you have is real. However if she is listed there, wouldn´t you rather know?

Here´s another link you definitely need to read. "Need money to leave the country and prove I can support myself abroad" is a known Russian dating scam.

Glenn,

When is her flight?
I think I can scrape up the money for you.
Just let me know her address/phone number and I´ll send her the money.

i think it is morally very wrong not to allow our fiances to visit us in Canada with the purpose of possible marriage if they don´t have enough money or they can remain in Canada if we get married... is it a crime to get married and then change the status from TR to PR ? i also recently invited my fiance, but his application was rejected because he might stay in Canada as he didn´t have ties and money in his country... if he had any ties he couldn´t be my fiance... or the main reason is that poor people are not allowed to come to Canada and marry? are we treated like slaves, criminals, prisoners, or mentally disabled? don´t we have any right to decide, meet and select our spouse before we marry? i think it is total disrespect for our basic human rights...

You are making many valid points mva.
Since Canada abolished its fiance visa early last decade, Canadians have been forced in many cases to rush prematurely into marriage just to be with their loved one in Canada.

But that´s one issue.

The issue here with this post is that the OP cannot see the forest from the trees.
He is head over heels in love with this woman, and she is trying to take him for a ride!

If he doesn´t wake up soon enough, he´ll be out a few thousand bucks and crying to us about it.
