check the CIC website for processing times.

phase one on an inland application 8-9 months. +++++ 11 months for Buffalo - assuming all goes well.

outland. phase one - outland application 37 days +++++ whatever country be it Buffalo or otherwise.

you do the math.

Thanks Sharon.

On meds and security.

Can you get the process started (send in your app) and hold off with the meds and security checks until later?
Seeing as the meds are only good for a year and the security is only good for three months, plus because of logistics, it might be difficult to get them quickly.

If you are allowed to do this, is your app delayed in any way because of it?

TIA

application must go in as specified by the CIC checklist- otherwise they send it back and you start again. I believe that means complete.

You REALLY do not want to contemplate inland /Buffalo.

obviously the decision is yours but consider yourself warned.

If she is in Canada she can do the medicals here. It does not have to be in her home country as long as she get copy 2 of the medical form from the Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) at the end of the appointment.

As you have been told by others - outland through the visa office responsible to her country of nationality is your best bet.

Sharon given your above statement how is it possible that a recent applicant achieved the following:

Outland Spousal (Buffalo):
Recd by Mississauga: 05/28/2010
Sponsor approved: 06/28/2010
Processing underway: 08/19/2010
Passport request: 10/01/2010
Landed: 10/05/2010

That seems friggin´ fast to me. How about you?
